South Carolina applies a specific rule to South Carolina Sex Offender Registry data. Under §23-3-510, using registry information to commit an offense can increase the punishment. The registry supports public safety awareness and does not authorize confrontation or vigilante conduct.

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports. Our advertising partners do not offer their tools here for an FCRA-regulated purpose. You agree not to use site or linked-tool data to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A legally compliant check for a regulated purpose must come from an authorized official or FCRA-compliant source, not this website or its general search tools.
