Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to Jasper County Criminal History. Visiting a page, reading its content, or submitting a query through an outside search tool means that you accept all terms below. Do not continue to use the website if you disagree with them.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated site has no connection to a government body. Neither it nor its advertising partners provide a service for credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions, or any other purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. The resource points to Jasper County and South Carolina record channels. It is neither a consumer reporting agency nor a private investigation firm.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no government affiliation. It does not store official files, retrieve records, perform an official background check, or submit forms for a visitor.

Its role is to identify the offices that hold Jasper County criminal records, including the sheriff, local courts, South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, and South Carolina Sex Offender Registry. Public-body access is governed by the South Carolina Freedom of Information Act, Title 30, Chapter 4. The state criminal-history framework relies on qualifying fingerprint reports to SLED under South Carolina Code §23-3-120. Those laws do not make this site a public agency or official repository.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use is allowed only on these conditions. You will not:

  • Use site content to stalk, intimidate, threaten, or harass another person
  • Violate a local, state, or federal law while accessing the service
  • Use the content in a decision regulated by the FCRA
  • Attempt unauthorized entry into any account, server, or system
  • Deploy a scraper, bot, or other automated collection tool against the pages
  • Interfere with site access, speed, or availability for another visitor

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information found here or through a linked tool must not be used to harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, or unlawfully discriminate against a person. South Carolina applies a specific rule to South Carolina Sex Offender Registry data. Under §23-3-510, using registry information to commit an offense can increase the punishment. The registry supports public safety awareness and does not authorize confrontation or vigilante conduct.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports. Our advertising partners do not offer their tools here for an FCRA-regulated purpose. You agree not to use site or linked-tool data to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A legally compliant check for a regulated purpose must come from an authorized official or FCRA-compliant source, not this website or its general search tools.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is not legal advice. General descriptions of Jasper County records cannot determine how a charge, warrant, conviction, or expungement rule affects one matter. Ask a licensed South Carolina attorney for advice about a specific case.

6. No Warranties

All content and functions are provided "as is." We make no promise that:

  • A partner's search result will be complete, current, or correctly matched
  • The website will remain available without delay or interruption
  • Every page is free from defects, security weaknesses, or errors
  • Information will be complete, accurate, or current at all times

Charges and records can be filed, changed, dismissed, expunged, or sealed. Updates may lag. No text or result here is an official statement from the Jasper County Sheriff, a court, SLED, or another agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links lead to government pages, court portals, legal resources, and outside search services. We do not control a destination's content, prices, availability, privacy practices, or terms. Review its rules before using the service.

8. Intellectual Property

Jasper County Criminal History or its content partners own the website's text, graphics, logos, and code. Written permission is required before copying, distributing, adapting, or building upon that material.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for damages arising from use of this site, its content, or any linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims, demands, or actions caused by your use of the site or breach of these terms, including related legal costs and fees.

11. Governing Law

South Carolina law governs these terms. A dispute tied to use of the website must be brought in a court located in South Carolina.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these conditions at any time. A revised version becomes effective when it is posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected term will be changed only as far as needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these terms may be directed through the Contact page.
